The 1978 Toyota Tamaraws season was the fourth season of the franchise in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA)
Notable Dates
- July 15, 1978 - Toyota Tamaraws defeated Filmanbank, 132-113 in Game 4 to capture the PBA All Filipino championship and its 4th PBA title, 3 games to 1.
- September 5, 1978 - Toyota Tamaraws routs Great Taste, 183-154 for the highest-scoring PBA game, only to be toppled seven years later on November 21, 1985 by Ginebra's winning score of 197, also against Great Taste.
- December 14, 1978 - Toyota, reinforced by Carlos Terry and Bruce "Sky" King, wins the Invitational Conference by beating Tanduay, 108-98 (3-1) in Game 4 for its 5th PBA title.
